During the day, Jim Hamilton is a field faculty member with NC State University’s Cooperative Extension Service. While he’s written the requisite number of articles in obscure academic journals to warrant his PhD in forestry, he enjoys reading and writing fiction. His first novel, “The Last Entry,” was released in 2019 (http://thelastentry.com) and is set in the Appalachian mountains of western North Carolina where he calls home.
